Franco di Santo has become sort of journeymen in recent years.
He has played for the likes of Werder Bremen, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, and Wigan in the last few years. A lot of promise was expected from the Argentine when he signed for Chelsea as a teenager. He has since joined many other clubs even on free transfers after being unable to find consistent form.

Former Chelsea striker Franco di Santo made it to the provisional squad for the Argentina national team a few years ago.
It looked like the Argentine striker was thriving on the back of regular first-team football, which he did not get at Chelsea. After a number of moves in the last few years, he has ended up at Schalke. The German outfit have spent around € 6 million in order to secure his signature from the clutches of Werder Bremen. This appears to be a bad move on the part of Schalke and manager Andre Breitenreiter.
