FRANCO DI SANTO SITS THROUGH THE DRAW OF SCHALKE 04 AND BORUSSIA DORTMUND

B. Dortmund coach, Thomas Tuchel, in preparation for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield against former coach of his team, made eight changes to the first team.

All goals scored in the match came in the second half starting from Ex-Manchester United player, Shinji Kagawa, stunning goal then defender Matthias Ginter's header cancelled out by a Leroy Sane strike and a Klaas-Jan Huntelaar penalty.

The game leaves Schalke 04 in seventh position with 45 points from 29 matches but at least closer to fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach in the race for Champions League qualification.

In-form player Aubameyang almost got the winner for Dortmund in the final minutes but was denied by a Joel Matip block. The host on the other hand saw substitute Max Meyer lose a good opportunity leaving the end score line as 2-2.
