While Bayern Munich continue topping the Bundesliga as they were already crowned as the champions of the German league despite still having more than 6 matches left to be played. The numerical advantage that Bayern Munich has over their nearest rivals, Borussia Dortmund is so huge that Pep Guardiola and his men are safe to say that they will be lifting the league trophy no matter what happens in the remainder of the season.

Werder Bremen on the hand are in danger of getting relegated as they have been struggling on picking up victories in this season with their latest Bundesliga defeat against Wolfsburg keeping them at the bottom section of the tables.

"I have always had the ambition to determine my departure and that will be at the end of the year’’.
"My association with Werder has determined my life and opened worlds that I could not have otherwise experienced. For that I will be eternally grateful and I hope I have provided just as much back." Fischer said in the statement, which was posted on the club's website.
The 73 years old is expecting that the vice-president Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald will be appointed as his replacement as he has been preparing him for the task for the past few years.

"I have never made a secret of the fact that I value our vice president Dr Hubertus Hess-Grunewald as a strong candidate to be my successor. I have been preparing him for this task for two years and we will now step up the joint work’’. Fisher added on.
