Universidad Catolica is eyeing the big plan for the next year and presented its fourth reinforcement for the season of 2023, Franco Di Santo- striker, who returns to Chile following a long career in Germany, England, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, and Argentina. The striker is going to defend his second club in his country and after he returns to Chile after 15 years, he didn’t hide his happiness in signing for Cruzados.
The striker said that he is happy to arrive at a large and important institution in both South America and Chile as Universidad Catolica. He also said that he is happy to be available to the club and will contribute whatever he can to the team.
Di Santo added that going back to Chile is like going back to a second home. According to him, he has opened the door for him and has helped him have a professional career. He is ready and aware that he is a big club that is preparing to fight on three different fonts. Di Santo contributes within and off the pitch with his experience and thus, he knows what he should do.
When he was asked about he arrived at football at UC, he had been clear in pointing out that they are going to find a similar version to the one, which left, willing to do what the team requires and mature with only more experience and just a few years.
Di Santi might have to fight for the starting position with Fernando Zampedri, the tri-goal scorer for the national team, and about the option to play together in attack, he stated it clearly that the decision had been made by Ariel Holan, the coach of the team.
