ESPN pundit Julien Laurens has backed Giovani Lo Celso to prove a success with Tottenham Hotspur this season. The Argentina international joined the north London giants on a season-long loan from Real Betis on transfer deadline day, but the club have the option of landing him permanently for a club-record £60m fee next summer.

Speaking on ESPN, Laurens said that the Argentine has a great vision and passing abilities and he could prove a success behind Harry Kane depending on how quickly he can adapt to the manager’s style of play, he told: “If he adapts quickly to the way Pochettino wants him to play in that team and to the different style of the Premier League, he will be a success there because he has great ability, great vision and his passing would be perfect for his relationship with Harry Kane, for example.”

Eriksen commands the number 10 role</a> but it remains to be seen whether the Dane would stay with the club beyond the summer. The Denmark international has been deemed to have turned down the option of joining Manchester United before the Premier League transfer deadline but he still has the opportunity to move overseas, should an elite European outfit come forward with an offer.
With less than <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10038208/tottenham-news-live-llo... months remaining on his contract, Spurs are likely to consider his sale between now and the end of the 2019</a> winter transfer window, and it may probably be the latter, given Pochettino would want to offer more time to Lo Celso to settle with the squad. Elsewhere, the Argentine can also slot into the centre of the park and he may feature ahead of the likes of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko as he possesses better tackling attributes than the duo. Spurs open their league campaign with a home game against newly-promoted Aston Villa.
